SUMMER IS HERE

Summer has finally arrived. Sitting in Hyde park on a sunny saturday afternoon with the Hard Rock concert playing live behind me, I couldn't help wander, with all the resort 2011 collections coming out, what we will be wearing next year.

I love everything about this collection. It is literally everything that I like about british menswear. Christopher Bailer has used; leather, quilting, studs, see through, man bags, sandals and the biker look.

There are definitely a few pieces I will purchasing from this collection.

Clark Kent is definitely cool

I never thought this when i got dressed today, not so carefully planning my ensemble. But after someone pointed it out to me it made me realize the simple nerdy look with the glasses and white shirt but with a mysterious quality looks pretty awesome.

I wear; Glasses and Vintage Jacket from Topman, T-shirt from New Look, Shirt From H&M, Carrier bag and Pendant from Alexander McQueen, Headphones from Apple.

Cocktail Dress

In September 2009, I made this 1950's inspired cocktail dress with Duchess satin, Lace and ostrich feathers and it has featured in several exhibitions /fashion shows.

On October 19th 2007, Fendi placed their Spring Summer collection on one of the most amazing places in the world, The Great Wall of China. This amazing structure beautifully frames the runway, and produces the most stunning backdrops. This show definitely wins best location for me.

I love the music in this show, it fits the garments perfectly. The way they dress the models is different to anything I have ever seen before. The head designers, Viktor and Rolf, dressed to models on the catwalk on a rotating platform with one model wearing all the coats at once.

I this this is one of the most surprising shows for me. I know Chanel is relatively traditional but I didnt ever think they would have a barn and horse hay on set. And to contrast that even more, the models have tattoo's and they put lilly Allen on at the end. Still one of my favorite shows though

Jaime CJ, is my label name, my actual name is Jamie Cris Johnstone and I come from a small city in Scotland called Aberdeen. Im in my third year at university studying for a degree in Fashion Design. Just coming back from interning at Stolen Girlfriends Club, Im back to the norm and daily routine. I also interned at Alexander McQueen for 2 months in summer, down in london which was fantastic!
