Alexander McQueen
This week has been so busy for me, being at uni, organizing my trip to london next week and moving house! so ive finally made some time to blog about something and the one thing weighing heavily on my mind this week is the one year anniversary of Lee McQueens death. Alexander McQueen was my greatest inspiration and the reason i chose to pursue a career in the fashion industry, so i was devastated when i herd of his suicide in February last year. These are some of my favorite photos from the runway of his work
the spring/summer 2001 show
'Dance of the twisted bull' autumn/winter 2002
'Deliverance' Spring/Summer 2004
Menswear Spring/Summer 2005
'Neptune' Spring/Summer 2006
'The Girl who lived in the tree' Autumn/Winter 2008
'The horn of plenty' Autumn/Winter 2009
'Plato's Atlantis' Spring/Summer 2010
Alexander McQueen's final collection Autumn/Winter 2010
Although i think Sarah Burton has done a fantastic job, no one has the same visionary, performance, attention to detail and concept as Lee McQueen had and i think it is a tragedy that the fashion wold has lost him.
