I had a visit to the 'Grand Mosque', the second largest in the world and wow was it amazing. I chose to blend in with the locals with a clean white shirt with traditional head scarf and tiny khanjar pinned onto my shirt, shame there wasn't any locals there! Im so inspired by the intricate detailed designs in the wood work, mosaic marble and and woven carpets and all tell some kind of story.

So i went to Jeb Al Shams this week, the tallest point in Oman & boy were the views amazing! and I blended in like some kind of chameleon with my asymmetric Topman Tee and Zara shorts.

I have so much ideas and sources of inspiration in Oman and am bursting to get back to the drawing board to continue my capsule collection that im half way through. Im not much of a writer but hopefully this photograph from the roof top captures the subtle relaxing mood of the evening. So i have a few more things planned for the next few days here in Oman including a return to Muttrah Souk, a trip to the glorious mountains and caves, hopefully a boat trip and maybe even a day at celeb hang-out, 'The Chedi'.

Though I would do a quick post of a few photos from the impressive Al Bustan hotel in Muscat, Oman. With an impressive pool are and several restaurant and bars, it would be hard to be unimpressed or bored here. Im planning to go back for a day to relax, hang at the pool and such so this wont be the last you see of this impressive and fashionable hotel!

Muscat, Oman

So im traveling to the place where I grew up, Muscat in Oman tomorrow. I lived there for four years back in the 90's so it will be interesting to see how things have changed over the years and to look at fashion in the country. Ill be updating my blog with interesting cultural findings and on any fashionistas I find so keep up to date!!

So the sun was shining brightly over Dubai today and it was about time to catch some rays at the beach!

Last night Mike, Marian, Deborah and Myself went to the Armani Hotel For pre drinks before our meal at Spectrum on One. Rolling up the long curved drive withe fountains dancing in the centre, were met with several concierge in the stereotypical tight black Armani Tee's. The interior of the hotel is surprisingly simplistic in tones of brown, gold and bronze with the odd bamboo plant or orchid. In the lounge they had a rather extensive (and expensive) drinks list with a wide variety of scotch whiskeys and vodkas. But i had to settle for a pineapple, orange and passion fruit mock-tail, with the drinking age being 21. As we sipped our cocktails we watched the fountain and light show outside dance to 'Thriller' which was quite an amazing sight!

As always the sun is shining brightly here in Dubai. Today we hit the shops in Dubai Mall trying on clothes from Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, Burberry and more! but unfortunately still a bit out of my price range!

Today I wore; Ray-Bans, T shirt from Alexander McQueen, shorts from H&M, chain by Nick Von K, ring from Stolen Girlfriends Club, bracelet from Pandora and sandals from Topman.

So i finally found my way back to Dubai this week for some sun sea and .... shopping! Main attractions today include some sun soaking at the pool and lunch at Ruby Tuesdays!

Im flying to Dubai on thursday so thought I would browse through my photos from last year. If designer shops is what your into, few places beat Dubai with its many massive malls. Shopping wasnt the only thing I did on my visit in april last year, I paid a visit to the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa and hope to dine there ... one day. The beaches are also amazing, the beach at the Atlantis waterpark is amazing with its crystal clear warm waters at the tip of the palm. Also Madinat at Jumeirah offers some amazing restaurants with influences from all around the world!

A trip to Dubai is a must do, cant wait to be there on friday!!
