City of many ....... shops
Im flying to Dubai on thursday so thought I would browse through my photos from last year. If designer shops is what your into, few places beat Dubai with its many massive malls. Shopping wasnt the only thing I did on my visit in april last year, I paid a visit to the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa and hope to dine there ... one day. The beaches are also amazing, the beach at the Atlantis waterpark is amazing with its crystal clear warm waters at the tip of the palm. Also Madinat at Jumeirah offers some amazing restaurants with influences from all around the world!
A trip to Dubai is a must do, cant wait to be there on friday!!

Highlights
This was the first season i actually attender Fashion week in London and i think i may have caught the bug! Here are some photos of some memorable moments this season.
I was fortunate enough to attend the Richard Nicoll show in the Topshop show space where Mark Ronson sat opposite us!
Gareth Pugh branched out from black and white with his stunning black-blue-gold collection.
Myself on the catwalk at the BFC arena at the Jasper Conran show. Wearing Stolen Girlfriends Club t-shirt, Nick Von K neck piece and Alexander McQueen Scarf and Insight jacket.
As usual Alexander McQueen produces an amazing pair of heels.
Thierry Mugler is in my top 10 after this season when he used heavily tattoo'd models and Lady Gaga on the catwalk.
Kate Moss makes headlines when she lights up on the catwalk at Louis Vuitton show on 'No Smoking Day'
One of the many stunning pieces from the Givenchy show, definitely one of my favourite designers of the season.

Lakme Fashion Week
at 12:25 AMAt Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2011, there were more celeb guests than celeb showstoppers. Front rows were dotted with glitzy fashionistas who either proved that they were truly stylish or had just lost the plot.
Bollywood stars add the oomph factor both on the ramp and off it at the Lakme Fashion Week. Riya Sen walked the ramp in white for designer Arpan Vohra. Celebrities spotted at LFW were Sridevi, Sonali Bendre, Urmila Matondkar, Juhi Chawla, Aditi Gawatrikar, Shamita Shetty, Sagarika Ghatge, Sophie Chaudhary, Minnisha Lamba, Vidya Balan, Mughdha Ghodse, Tanushree Dutta, Sonal Chauhan, Kareena Kapoor, Amrita Arora, Sameera Reddy, Geeta Basra, Jacqueline Fernandes and Sonam Kapoor
Andrej Pejic

Its been some time since ive blogged due to my mass amount of uni projects going on at the moment. So it made sense for me to kill two birds with one stone. Im liking this post with a university project where i have to look into the world that is advertisement. The theme im looking into is the up and coming trend of using what i call'Trans-gender models' or in other words using male models as woman. This isn't really a new revelation but is something that is becoming increasingly popular. Jean Paul Gaultier used the main model I am looking at - Andrej Pejic.
Andrej Penic belonging to London's Storm agency is a Serbian-Australian androgynous beauty and was always picked up at mens fashion week as a female model.
He has also done major ad campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gaultier and Vercace. He will definitely be one to look out for in 2011. But is it wrong for designers to use male models for their lack of bust and hips when it would be almost impossible for a woman to have the same shape? I love the androgynous of it but i want to dress woman to look like women.
