Saturday night was party night as we were invited to attend the Fashion Mode afterparty at Merah Club, London. Arriving shorty after 10 all the fashion mode designers were allready there, James, Carlotta and Florian. All of there collections were fantastic and i will be blogging them later once ive had a chance to crop the pictures. For now here are some of the photos from the after party where Daniella Brooker was performing.

This week sees the launch of a new photography exhibition in Cruise stores nationwide by photographer Jonathan D Pryce from 'Les Garcons De Glasgow' to mark the 30th anniversary of Cruise stores. I was lucky enough to meet him on Belmont st and had my photo taken as seen above! Jonathan photographed people from all cities featuring Cruise stores and displayed them as wallpaper in the store!

Why cant all business men dress like this? I work at corporate events and some clients include oil and business related companies and i have never seen a man wear anything other than a black or grey suit. Do we not think its about time for a change, if you walked into a boardroom meeting wearing a Vivienne Westwood coloured suit and bright Prada briefcase, you would get 110% more attention. Wether its for good reason or not is another question. This photo by Tommy Ton at mens fashion week is perfect example of smart mens fashion moving forward t accepting colour and getting rid of the penguin suit.

Its been some time since ive blogged due to my mass amount of uni projects going on at the moment. So it made sense for me to kill two birds with one stone. Im liking this post with a university project where i have to look into the world that is advertisement. The theme im looking into is the up and coming trend of using what i call'Trans-gender models' or in other words using male models as woman. This isn't really a new revelation but is something that is becoming increasingly popular. Jean Paul Gaultier used the main model I am looking at - Andrej Pejic.

Andrej Penic belonging to London's Storm agency is a Serbian-Australian androgynous beauty and was always picked up at mens fashion week as a female model.

He has also done major ad campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gaultier and Vercace. He will definitely be one to look out for in 2011. But is it wrong for designers to use male models for their lack of bust and hips when it would be almost impossible for a woman to have the same shape? I love the androgynous of it but i want to dress woman to look like women.
